|
| I've used Colloidal Silver for eye irritations and also as a natural antibiotic and it dawned on me today that maybe it would work on tear stains. I did some research and found out that sometimes breeders use it! So I put a drop in the corner of Lolas eyes and then I took a cotton ball wet with the Colloidal Silver and cleaned the actual stains. A lot of red came off onto the cotton ball, much more than usual. I'm going to keep working on it and I've also been giving her 1/2 tums daily (when I remember). I'll let you guys know if it works. If any of you have had experience using C. Silver, please let me know. Thanks! |

Colloidal silver is ADMITTEDLY a "natural" antibiotic. Consequently, it IS
SUPPRESSIVE. CS DOES NOT CURE ANYTHING! it just hides the symptoms and
sometimes "kills the bugs". Killing the bugs is not the goal for GOOD
HEALTH. Bugs are in everyone's bodies and when the immune system is strong,
the immune system keeps the bugs at bay. When the bugs take over, it is
evidence that the immune system is not doing its job and killing the bugs
DOES NOTHING TO STRENGTHEN THE IMMUNE SYSTEM!
Furthermore, colloidal cells are TOO LARGE to be absorbed into the blood
stream as it is so commonly accepted.
Silver is a HEAVY METAL and it does not exist naturally in the body! ANY
HEAVY METAL that does not occur in the body naturally, WILL CAUSE HARM.
And finally, I would suggest you search on the internet for people who have repeatedly used
CS on a daily basis with their dogs (by putting in their drinking water)
about side effects, such as thickened skin, discoloration of the skin, weepy
eyes, hair loss, and brain damage! |

I know quite a bit about colloidal silver. They used it on children in the hospital..it is VERY safe if used properly. You have to use a quality product and use it responsibly. I would never use it every day as a supplement like you would a vitamin and an informed consumer should know that. I owned a store that sold natural health products and know how to use colloidal silver. I researched every product I sold. Lola is not going to be drinking it and I will be using it topically to clean the area for a short period of time. You have to know when and how to dilute products like this, as well.
There are debates all over the place about the use of natural products. People sometimes abuse them, just as any product. Angel eyes, which is the alternative, is an antibiotic, something I would prefer not to use because I don't want her to possibly lose her own immune system capabilities. The pharmaceutical companies would like to make bold statements about products that would take away from their profits, so I don't pay attention to half of what they say. I look for independent research and evaluate from there.
I think you made some assumptions about me and my knowledge of certain products. Maybe you should ask some questions before lecturing someone. |

Don't mind the pharmaceutical companies search for people's personal experiences.(especially dog breeders) When somebody turns blue by drinking it what makes you think it's ok to use it in your dogs eyes. Just bcs some "reputable" breeder has been doing it for years!!!!
Just because CS is "natural" antibiotic it's no better than angel eyes or other chemical stuff in this case even worse with its horrid side effects. They both suppress the immune system. |

| I understand all about how ANY antibiotic, natural or not, could affect the immune system. I have fibromyalgia AND lupus AND pernicious anemia, all autoimmune disorders. I probably know more about the immune system than most doctors do. Again, I don't plan to give it to her internally, nor do I plan to use it long-term. And I don't think it's a "miracle cure" like some silver manufacturers claim. I've never taken it as a supplement..I've used it for eyes on occasion but I haven't even done that very often. My husband has bad allergies and it has helped his eyes. We've been using the product (VERY sparingly) for 7-10 years and neither one of us has turned blue or had side effects. Again, I believe strongly in moderation. |

You may want to try clearing mild eye infection by rinsing eye with 10 drops of calendula and eybright tincture in 1 cup of boiled filtered water and 1/4 tsp salt.
It not suppressive. It clears up mild eye infections just as good as antibiotics.
This is a recipe from http://www.amazon.ca/Homeopathic-Care-Cats-Dogs-Animals/dp/155643295X.
or dissolve 1 eybright- eupharasia 30c sugar pellet in 4 oz of filtered water and put 2 drops in the eye twice a day. |

Well, I can weigh in on both the CS and the teat stains...
First, I am an RN and I can tell you that CS kills over 150 pathogens TOPICALLY within 3o minutes of application including MRSA, Candida, VRE, etc...
It is also used very successfully on burns.
I have used it on Gracie for some patches that broke out on her and I have had TREMENDOUS success with it for her.
I would NOT recommend taking it internally....
I tried to use it to soothe Ripleys feet and he vomited both times I tried it on him.... no more for Rip.
In regards to the tear stains....
CS WILL turn the skin brown, black and blue.
I have seen ANGEL EYES work fabuloulsy for my MIL's coton, and I recommend it highly... its costly but very effective. |
