| Hello, my name is Cookie and this Saturday the 20th I am going to embark on a 7 1/2 hour trip to Atlanta to pick up my new baby girl. I am so excited I can not wait to have her in my arms. I have never owned a Crested before but have wanted to have one for the last 4 years. I am a groomer by hobby but need to know the absolute best products to maintain my girls skin in an immaculate condition. I am ready for all of your advice. Thanks to all my new friends and I am looking foward to meeting all of you. |

| You need to ask the breeder for HER advice first and foremost - so take advantage of your communication during these early months and years even. Many of the lines have very specific needs, be it food or grooming products. If you are purchasing via one of the online sites, when you go to pick her up and meet the breeder and her pups, be sure that she has all the health tests done on the parents as well. |

Wow, I can feel the excitement, Cookie!! So glad to 'meet' you. Is your new pup-to-be a hairless, then? Can't wait to hear more about her and of course, see some pics when you can. You be careful on that long road trip this weekend, precious cargo! |

Hi and Welcome!
Lots of Florida members here. What part of the state are you in? I am up near Daytona.
My suggestion for good skin is to follow the "less is more" approach. Start with really good food, bottled water, and avoid overkill on the bathing and lotions, etc. And as hlboyz said...ask the breeder what she has been doing. If the pup comes to you with good skin...the breeder must be doing something right, so I would start with whatever that is.
Congrats!!! |
