| Polly has an appt for acupuncture Wednesday morning. So we are supposed to get dumped on tuesday and wednesday with snow. It's 36 miles to Bethlehem. Polly has to get this started. In a couple months if she is not better, they will tell me it is permanent. Why is my luck so BAD, lately? I am so stressed. |

Oh for petes sake neither you nor Polly need this right now. It is so hard to plan anything in this type of weather and this is not just a social trip that you can reschedule!!
We are sending you warm melting thoughts and keeping our fingers and paws crossed for you.

Hang in there Colleen - hopefully you won't get as much as predicted, and if you do....hopefully you'll be able to work her in later this week. And if it does snow crazy, please don't drive out there if you don't have to! |

Breath in through the nose and exhale out the mouth, repeat. If it is any kind of problem to drive to this appt please reschedule. The people who are telling you that it could be permanent, are they "traditional" veterinarians? Are they taking into account acupuncture, now or later? Do they really know anything about acupuncture and non-traditional medicine? Healing vibes to Polly.
I don't mean to sound huffy, I grew up in the "question authority" generation . It's just I think sometimes the traditional folk don't know anything about non-traditional. They tend to only think inside the box. I have a try it philosophy, and I have become very impressed with non-traditional results.

I'm so sorry Colleen! I hope you make it to your appointment.
I know you are expecting quite a bit of snow. I just got home from PA this evening. We ended up staying an extra day due to all the snow. What a mess! I thought we were going to end up getting stuck there for days with this next storm coming. Stay positive if you can. They seem to do a pretty good job clearing the roads. I hope the storm passes and you are able to drive. |

| Thanks everyone. The National weather service reports that tonight we should get 1-3 inches which is not too bad usually. it just depends on whether the people around you are driving safely or not. I won't risk my girls or my own life for an appt. But this is important we get her started. Her surgeon and staff have told me if it lasts about 4 months we can consider it permanent. |

| I'd give them a ring and ask if it's okay if in the morning it's too bad to drive and be safe could you reschedule or just reschedule anyway, staying safe is important hun. Does it say how long the weather will last? |

| I called them yesterday and asked if they thought I should reschedule and she said I can call that day if the roads are bad, so I might wait and see what happens. Sometimes the snow misses us a bit, so we sometimes get much less than predicted. |

| Well just remember as you've said only go if it's safe enough, it's the other idiots on the road that are the problem so only go if you feel confident in being safe. Lets us know how you go on hun I'll be thinking of you tomorrow morning. |

I'd reschedule. It'll save you worrying about it. If you don't get much, it doesn't mean they won't. It's far enough away that there could be a huge difference in amount.
We're supposed to have 10" by the end of tomorrow and I'm not planning on going to the clinic tomorrow a.m. I trust no one on the road. |

I think that is wise Colleen. Just check the weather forecasts and try for a day it isn't a blizzard! Definitely it's the other idiots out there - but on the other hand, some of them HAVE to be out there. And you and Polly DON'T - not if it is going to put you into an accident. A few days shouldn't hurt |
