This is a spin on what I think is happening Christmas Morning while we are all enjoying prezzies and family/friends. It is primitive, totally hooked from used wool clothing with no dye used on the different wools that I found. The beard and fur trim is hooked using wool roving from a local sheep farm which is then clipped and shaped to give the mat more of a 2D effect. It is very simplistic but those are the ones I really enjoy as my brain "boings" around enough without looking at something busy! Laughing

Tis the season so I thought I would share Very Happy

It is one that I drew....as we can all see Anne sticks with primitive and Sarah(Esylum) and ET do the good stuff Wink Laughing .

I tend to be drawn (no pun intended) to primitive although I highly appreciate any form. My dream is to hook my pups, you never know there is always 2010 and 2011 and 12 and 13 Laughing .

Oh Anne it's just beautiful I love the simple primitive artwork as well it's reminiscent of a different time a quieter more simple life, well that's the feelings I get from it
and you do very lovely work that takes a lot of patience

I love it too and even better it is your own design. I love the whimsy of it with Santa pulling his three reindeer.

Aahhahah...I have no idea when the dogs will appear DE, they won't be primitive so firstly I have to get my mind around working with such a small cut and then it will be my pups so I will be super picky Very Happy so it will probably me hooking, hauling it out, hooking, hauling it out...cursing Laughing

I basically make them for my family members or for me to enjoy here at home. Each of my sisters have one and they seem to really like them. I don't sell them Embarassed don't feel I am good enough to charge and to tell the truth I like to see peoples' faces when I give them one Very Happy rather then charge money.

Hubs' grandmother hooked quilts for all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great greats over the years and they are so special. I hope someday my mats that I pass on will bring that feeling to someone else Embarassed sappy eh.

I have an example of Christmas ornaments that I hooked for the homemade theme tree (I didn't put that one up this year). Maybe I'll post those. OMG here I go Embarassed ...hope I am not boring you guys Rolling Eyes Wink
