| Wow, thanks Niya. I'm really honored to be dog of the week. I've never lived anywhere other than Hawaii so I don't even know what snow is. Christmas here is sunny and warm but sometimes it's cooler than the rest of the year like 70's rather than 80's but still very pretty. |

Well, to hear everyone here tell it I'm a grump. Not so laid back as just not involved. Just because I choose to not interact with my sister who everyone thinks is just oh so cute (blech) doesn't make me grumpy it makes me smart. Now you Miss Charm, I would love to interact with! I think I'm very cool and I'm glad you do too.

I had all my puff fur for one winter and wasn't too hot but was very matted so Mom put me in a pony cut which I've been in since. This year we're trying the full fur again but I have a feeling it won't last much past Thanksgiving.[/quote] |

Mommy told us that you live on an Island just like we did when we were in Hong Kong. Do you live somewhere where you can over look the water? Do you sit out and watch the ships go by? Do a lot of people live on your Island with you?
Mommy says she wants to visit where you live but that we can't come with her even though we would like it because you have silly restrictions on doggy visitors. What if you tell the people that we have special passports will that help?
Do you speak a language other then English at home? Or even just a few words of a language?

We live in a townhouse complex which overlooks Kaneohe Bay. Unfortunately you can't see it from our lanai because there's a huge tree in the way but when we go on our walks just a few feet down the street we can see the water. No ships though. They come into Honolulu Harbor which is downtown on the other side of the island about 12 miles away. We have about 850,000 people and lots of dogs on this island.
Unfortunately, we do have quarantine laws here so unless you found out what they were about 6 months in advance and were under a vets supervision there for 6 months you couldn't come with you Mom. I guess you have to have special rabies shots and some sort of home quarantine for 6 months or else you have to be in quarantine here for 120 days.
Mom and Dad only speak English at our house. There is a local slang called pigeon that they sometimes fall into but not so much since they didn't grow up here. |

Mom and Dad lived in Northern Virginia for 18 years before they moved to Hawaii.
I hate water so I don't swim anywhere.
I like to eat just about anything but frozen green beans are my absolute favorite. Well, actually cheese is my absolute favorite. Well, but I really, really love peas and carrots. But then my real favorite is...
I don't play with a lot of toys but every once in awhile I really like to have Mom and Dad throw my plush egg for me. I like to have them take it away from me and throw it so I can catch it again.
I used to play with the kids but then they decided they liked Feather better so I decided I liked the adults better anyway. I really like all the adults we meet on our walks. They pay lots of attention to me. |

I'm with you on the swimming. Do you like walking on the beach, though?
Does it get really hot there? It stays nice in the winters here, too, but gosh the summers! They're terrible, it is like an oven outside. What are your summers like?
Sorry I wasn't able to ask more questions during the week. I have to sneak in when Mommy's home and the computer's on. She's been so busy with work and school that she's hardly ever home and grammy doesn't turn the computer on. I'm just glad I got to ask some before the week is over!

Are you allowed on the beach near your house or do they have those silly "no dogs allowed" rules?
You don't like to swim?????? But we think that playing in the waves would be so cool! Do the waves get really big at your beach?

I love frozen vegetables and cheese and lamb lungs!!!! For my meals I like chicken. Nothing special from here.
It gets in the 90's here but we only get the humidity in August thru October. That's when the tradewinds forget to blow the right way and it's really hot.
I do like walking on the beach. In fact, it's a great place to do zoomies! |

The volcano are on the Big Island of Hawaii and Mom and Dad have been there to see it but that was before they had me. They said it's really cool and they want to go back again but you have to walk across old lava to see it and it would be a dangerous place for me. They just don't realize how brave I am!!!
No, I don't like to swim. But, not because I'm afraid mind you but because I don't like to get my handsome feet wet. The waves on our end of the island aren't that big although they have been getting some 6 footers in the last week which is big for over here. It's the North Shore that gets the 20 footers. We're Northwest.
Feather and I are puffs so we really don't have to wear clothes but we do wear jammies in the winter because it gets windy and chilly(for us) at night. Mom also couldn't help herself and bought Feather a Christmas dress and me a Christmas sweater this year for our Santa Paws pictures. I really hope she doesn't expect us to wear them any other time. I mean I'm the Batman. I have a reputation to uphold! |

Hello Mr. Goooood-lookin'!
First question...do you remember when I came to visit you? You and your sister were such cuddle-bunnies.
I remember Halloween out there and all the people and dogs dressed up and parading down the Beach. Some of the costumes were pretty outrageous!!  Have you ever done that?
I know you hate the water but have you ever thought about being a surfer-type dude? I guess you'd get a little wet while learning, but once you got good, just think of all the babes that would want to meet and pet you. And you've definately already got the beach-boy good looks. 
Do you sometimes have geeko's in your house and do you chase them? 
Will you have your mom and dad adopt Fancy & me? Fancy needs to live someplace warmer than Vancouver and of course I'd just have to go with her cuz she couldn't survive without me. 
We'll even do the quarantine together.
Do you ever get to go out on the boat with your dad? |

That's okay. I didn't get very many questions last week so I think I can still answer. Beside we aren't doing dog of the week again until January soooo... I do remember when you came to visit. It was great because you paid so much attention to me. We don't usually dress up in costumes and go down to Waikiki because my stupid sister gets scared of all the freaky people. The best we do is put our black and orange neck scrunchies on and walk around the neighborhood. We did go to a pet expo this year and there were lots of people and dogs there in costumes. I loved it but Feather climbed my mom like a cat and hyperventilated the whole time. Geez what a girl!
I could so totally get into being a surfer dude. It's just too bad you have to go in the water to do it. I could always hang out on the beach next to a surfboard though. I'm sure I could get a few cnicks that way. My mom says I already have the brain of a surfer dude whatever that means.
We have geckos all over our house. We only pay attention to them when we are walking. Then Feather chases them. She doesn't want to catch them. She just like to chase them. I'm telling you that girl is some kind of weird. 
Sure you tell your mom and Fancy to pack their bags and come on over. My mom and dad would be happy to adopt them and from what I've seen of Fancy I'd love to adopt her. If anyone could get me back into agility and up on that dog walk (shudder) it's Fancy. Why, we'll even visit you in quarantine and play with you and groom you and bring you food and stuff cuz I I don't think your going to like that dog food they feed you.
I can't go out on the boat with my dad because the company that owns it won't let me. Something about insurance or liability or something. They aren't much fun. |
