Hi everyone! My names Brittany and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 20 and from Oklahoma. I'm hopefully adopting my first crested in a few weeks but a snag has come up so I might not get to. But either way I'll keep searing for my special baby.

OK so I still haven't gotten a reply from Jo's owner so I'm pretty much giving up. I did email a breeder to see if she had any babies available and she said that has 2 older puffs (4 months) that she is trying to find a home for. She says that if she approves of the home they go to she would be willing to give them to someone. So I asked her what kinds of information she would need from me to see if I could be a good home for them (or at least one). I'm trying not to get as excited about them as I did about Jo because it breaks my heart that she told me I could adopt him then just stopped speaking to me. But I have to remember that they love him and if they get to keep him I'm happy for them.

On another note I'm going to have to do some research on what is needed to groom a puff. Oh does anyone know if it would be ok to shave a puff? I think it might be good for the summers here in Oklahoma if they were shaved. Would it look right to shave them?

Do a search, on here, for "pony clip". LOTS of Puff owners keep their Puffs clipped like hairless. It's very cute!

I'll have to check out the pony cut I'm not sure I know what that is. But I'll go search it now. Thanks!

Hi Brittany,

I'm also from a small town in Oklahoma (the SE part). I'm the caretaker of two male Powderpuffs (one over 2 years old and the other over 13 years old). The heat can be a little much for the Puffs unless you keep them trimmed. My youngest Puff was an older pup buy from a breeder. It really worked for the best for me because I was looking for a companion for my older dog, not a puppy to raise. Again, best of luck in your search.

Hi Smile Welcome.
Im new here too. I am also currently waiting to adopt my little boy. He is 11months old and needs a new home.
I visited him and the current owner is happy with me. I gave her half of the money to 'hold' him, as we cannot collect him for 4 weeks, due to previous commitments and a holiday Sad
The wait is horrible.
I have found everyone here very friendly and helpful so far Smile

Good luck with the puffs Smile
