Definition of classes in UK
MINOR PUPPY For dogs of 6 -9 months on the first day of the show
PUPPY
..For dogs of 6 12 months
JUNIOR
.For dogs of 6 -18 months
YEARLING
12 24 months
BEGINERS
Owner, handler or dog never having won a 1st prize at a Championship or Open show
MAIDEN
Dog not to of won a CC, nor 1st prize at an Open or Champ show (puppy and Minor Puppy excepted)
NOVICE
Not to of won a CC or 3 or more 1st prizes (except Puppy and Minor Puppy)
TYRO
.. Not to of won a CC or 5 or more 1st prizes (except Puppy and Minor Puppy)
DEBUTANT
Dog not to of won a CC, nor 1st prize at A Champ show (puppy and Minor Puppy excepted)
UNDERGRADUATE
Not to of won a CC or 3 or more 1st prizes at a Ch. Show (except Puppy and Minor Puppy)
GRADUATE
.Not to have won a CC or 4 or more 1st prizes at a Ch. Show in Graduate Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit or Open.
POST GRADUATE
. Not to have won a CC or 5 or more 1st prizes at a Ch. Show in Post Graduate, Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit or Open
MINOR LIMIT
. Not to have won 2 CCs or 3 or more 1st prizes at a Ch. Show in Minor Limit, Mid Limit, Limit or Open
MID LIMIT
. NOT to be a Show Champion under KC or any governing bodys rules or won 5 or more 1st prizes at a Champ Show in Mid Limit, Limit or Open
LIMIT
NOT to be a Show Champion under KC or any governing bodys rules or won 7or more 1st prizes at a Champ Show in Limit or Open
OPEN
For any dog of the breed
VETRAN
.. Not less than 7 years of age on the first day of the show
STUD DOG stud dog and at least 2 of his progeny which must have been entered previously at this show
BROOD BITCH
. Brood bitch and at least 2 of her progeny which must have been entered previously at this show
PROGENY
.Dog or bitch and at least 3 of its progeny (not nessesarily in the same ownership)
BRACE
.. 2 Dogs/bitches in the same ownership
TEAM
.3 or more Dogs/bitches in the same ownership
BREEDERS
. Dogs bred by the exhibitor
GOOD CITIZEN SCHEME
. Dogs which have passed the KC GCS Bronze or above
NOT FOR COMPETITION ..allows dog to enter the venue, but not compete |
