An updated pic of momma Simone at day 46. She has officially started the momma waddle walk. She's bigger now than when she delivered the litter of 3 puppies last time .

Aww, I hope the pups are being nice to mommy and not kicking every rib they can get to.
Can belly size be any indicator of litter size? I know that definitely isn't true with humans (or I'd know quite a few more people with twins ) , but I was curious about in dogs.

No worries-just feel bad for the little thing. She's such a refined little bitch and now she looks like a watermelon on toothpicks . Last litter she had her tuck up back in 4 weeks after weaning - not thinking that's as likely this time around. Her ultrasound was done late and we definately saw 3 at least 3 spinal chords in there.
Its the last 2 weeks that you see the most growth in size of pups and mom's belly too.

She was out racing around the backyard like a mad woman inbetween her sunbathing when I took this pic of her. She just gets tired more easily and is eating everything in sight now-which is a good thing. |

| Do you think she might have been hiding a few pups when she had her ultrasound since she is getting so much bigger then the last time? |

My little watermelon was farther along than we like to have when ultrasounds are done-due to my crazy schedule this time of year, so it is very likely that pups were blocking other pups at that time.
I've tried to load the ultrasound pic to post but its too big . |

She looks lovely and perfectly content. I remember how uncomfortable is can get so I hope her time passes quickly. She is wonderful and I am excited! It is amazing how different she looks in just ten days.
