I just got the probiotcs I ordered, the one I got to start is a paste for super stressed dogs. I wonder if this would help her - give her a boost and a head start on the demodex? BTW, are you sure that is her issue? And not just part of it? I wonder if she has some underlying and/or even secondary things going on.... She surely will feel much better after that first bath - darned spay stitches!
But.... she sounds absolutely darling! |

Ohhhh Dolly I am so glad that you are home with WN. You are probably a little confused and scared right now but your life is now on the way up, up, up!!!
Welcome little one and I can't wait to see pics of you and hear about your antics. It sounds like there will be many
As for your past family they have exited stage left and you are now staring with WN, what a duo you will make!!!

The girl has lost most all of her hair. Dolly has hair on top of her head, her neck, her shoulders and ears, but that is about it. Her muzzle is completely hairless. Just to warn you when I do get the pics posted. She is eating all I put in front of her. The smell is overpowering but she is on antibiotics and will do a betadine scrub bath in the next couple of days per vet recommendation. Dolly does have personality and seems self assured so is a good start. She is worse than I expected her to be, but we will get her better with time.
I was told she would likely look worse before getting better as is losing what hair she has on her shoulders and the remaining hair is patchy. She hasn't a clue yet about where to potty but we will work on that as we move forward. Oh, also said she could stand to gain 3-4 pounds, quite thin.

WN, you are a doggie angel for sure. Poor baby has been through a lot. I know she will flourish with your TLC. I'd love to see a pic of her.
A relative of mine had 2 BT's and they were very loyal, smart pups but notorious cat haters. I don't know if that is a breed characteristic, but I'd keep an eye on her around the kitties just in case. |

WN, the meds kind of rile up the mites before they succumb..... so just be prepared for a little of that at first. What the heck, another honorary hairless for a little bit is not a bad thing sooooo, how is she doing so far and were you able to give her a sponge bath and clean her up a bit? |

Dolly is a sweetie. I'll do the bath the w/end. Cats? Well she saw Dax about for the first time tonight and rushed right over but seemed mostly interested, no growling or anything. She is stealing my heart for sure. I'll get those pics up this w/end also.
Oh, and found out she just turned 7 mos old on 2/26, not a 9 month old. |
