| I am in the process of adopting an amazing hirless boy, I am just waiting for the blasted snow to stop falling so I can meet him. His registered name is Peter. He was going to be a show dog but it didn't work out so I am lucky enought to be able to adopt him and I can barly contain myself with excitement!! Seriously, please no snow next weekend!! He is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen (at least in the photo I was sent, but Im sure he is in real life as well). I am SO impatient! [/img] |

| Welcome. I am glad you are going to check the breeder out in person. I found their site via a search and do not see anything about health testing their dogs. In fact there is very little information overall. The pedigrees of their dogs are interesting. Sorry, but I am very cautious, especially these days. It does appear they show. I would ask them if they belong to the local kennel club. I would also verify everything you are told, whether it is this breeder or any other breeder. |

| p.s. Please review the info on things to look for in a breeder which I believe is on the Crush site as a sticky (sorry I did not look first, but it should be under the Acquiring... section. It should have a good set of things to keep in mind, ask, etc. |

| ok I just looked, it is in the Bringing home baby section, and there are a couple of topics there you might want to review that are "announcements". |

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with the new kiddo. I wanted to let you know that due to forum guidelines we do not allow registered names unless it is an approved breeder here. So Peter's name was edited out |

|
We went and got our pretty boy this friday. We feel really lucky to be able to adopt him. He has had his knees and eyes tested and they came back clear and there was pretty much no adoption fee! Can you beat that? Not around here anyway. We have decided that he is more of a Prince than a Peter. He is doing well and thinks he owns the place already. The only problem we are having is he seems to think that he has to protect me from my 9yr old son. Its odd. He was debarked unfortunately, but tries to bark at my son when he goes near me. I tell Prince no and ignore him while paying attention to my son, then Prince pouts.I am making sure that my son is the one who feeds Prince etc so I think Prince will start to understand the pecking order soon. Helpful hints will be appreciated.
Such a pretty face
He was scared at first but soon got over it
Sporting his poorly made home made vest. Why not, right?
So tired
Showing off his peach fuzz
Showing his lovely teeth. He was scared of our cat at first but luckily he ignored Prince so they are fine now. I don't think Prince had ever seen a cat before!

| I am glad he is in a loving home. Looks like he could use a little meat on those bones. |

| Yep, He sure is a skinny boy but he has been eating well for me so I think we'll get that bony body of his fattened up pretty quickly. He is really healthy acording to my vet, just really thin. I know ccs are a thinner dog but his butt is so boney I don't see how he can sit on it comfortably. Any ideas to safetly fatten up a cc? |

| He is a cutie! but I agree he needs to put on some healthy weight!, there are a few members on thei forum that have some great experience with putting healthy weight on their pups! hopefully they will be along soon to give you some advice! |
