My hl girls are "Mortisha", named because when she was a baby she had black hair with a little white stripe, like Mortisha in the Adams Family tv show.

"Mischief", because she was the naughtiest little puppy ever. If there was some mischief afoot, you could bet it was her that caused or started it.

She produced a little hl son I named "Loki", because "Loki" is the God of fire and mischief.

Two of hl my girls, now across the Bridge, were named "Havoc" and "Chaos". Don't need to  explain why. lol.

Ruby was named because when she came home as a very young puppy she had what looked like a red clown wig on her head. Little did I know that red would fade to blonde within a few months!

Harley (female) was named because I bought my husband a new Harley Davidson, as a bribe to let me have another crested. It just seemed appropriate, and now fits her, as  she is a total tomboy.

Dolce  well, she's just a beautiful little diva, and it suits her. lol

Enzo  named for the dog in one of my favorite books, "The Art of Racing In The Rain."

I have always agonized when naming a dog or cat, as they are going to have that name for the rest of their lives!

my cousin had a cute little dog named ''Radar'' , and it really seemed to suit him. My Jakks was named Jack when we adopted him , but we saw the spelling ''Jakks'' in one of his jammies [ the brand name , I guess ] , and really liked it .

Eva - *kennel name* Lady Godiva...  I was trying to name her before she came home but it was too hard without knowing her personality a bit....  Diva sure came to mind and that sure would fit...  But Eva just stuck and she seemed to respond to it best from the string of things I was calling her...  I wanted something pretty and a little different, don't meet many Eva dogs.  And It's pronounced Ev-ah, not E-vah.  I liked "Martini", cause well, I like martinis!  But hubby made a valid point we should get off the booze names as we already have a Tia Maria who needed an equal name to her mom "Whiskey".

Took me weeks to name my late, heart dog.  She had a new name every day until something stuck - Trina.

Have him home a few hours and call him by a few, it's more the tone they are listening to, see what clicks.

I love Dexter! But then again I am partial to D names. I have Daisy, Dallas and Denver. The triple D's. :)

Maisie was called Tasha while in rescue, I really didn't think it suited her. Her spots reminded me of a Holstein cow and Daisy seemed fitting but since I have an Auntie Daisy I felt I couldn't get away with that! So Maisie it was. An easy name for my elderly mum to remember, a combo of her 2 sisters names, Daisy and May!
Hank was called Spanky while in rescue, I wasn't fond of it and planed on changing it. When I went to pick him up his foster mummy said he was originally called Hank. I'm a huge Hank Williams and Hank III fan (and it suits him) so that's what I went with.
On your list I love the name Tucker!

For what it's worth, I love the name Dexter.
My Lola was called Raven in rescue but we changed it to Lola, my friend actually named her.
Buck was originally named Plain Brown Rapper and was called Rapper but we changed it to Buck Owens and he goes by Buck.
When we got the brothers, I wanted to call them Johnny and Cash, but my husband wanted Cash to be Rocket, so now we have Johnny and Rocket.

Thank you Thank you Thank you ALL for all of your input!!!!  We took the kids with us to the breeder yesterday to visit our baby.  Up until we went there the kids had no idea we were even getting a puppy.  Soooo....after our visit and lots of name discussion on our one hour ride back home.  Our final decision is DEXTER :)  So, Dexter it is.  Thank you all for all of your input, ideas, and story sharing.

8 weeks of age, and no kennel names can be mentioned, unless the breeder has successfully completed, and passed our breeder survey. Feel free to post your pups pet name!
